    Uninstall Failure

I uninstalled the Beta 2 version for VS2003 and the IDE crashed. (I assume the uninstall started the development environment in order to remove the Add-In commands.)

I went ahead and let error reporting send the error report and then installed the new RC1 version. I encountered no errors during the installation however the Code It Once menu was unuasable, fully populated but all the commands failed with an error that the addin was unloaded.

    Uninstall Failure

    Hi Robert,

We have done some modifications in preparation to the release - GUIDs and minor architectural changes. That's why it is required to uninstall the earlier Beta before installing the RC1 build.

As you've got error message when uninstalled the Beta it didn't remove itself correctly. Apparently that was VS error reporting dialog not ours as we didn't get the report so I'm not sure what actually happened there.

The workaround would be to uninstall the RC1, then run "devenv /setup" command from DOS prompt, load VS and make sure that CodeIt.Once menu is gone. After that you can go ahead and install the RC1 again.

Please let me know if this doesn't help and we will come up with an alternative solution.
    Thank you,
    Serge Baranovsky
