Thanks for a great addin SmartOutline! It really helps with large javascript files!

Are there no plans to go open-source with this product or to release the source code to the community?

We don't have plans to open source SmartOutline. For a free tool like SmartOutline it takes much more resources and time to support it that way.

What would you do with the source code anyway?

For now i thing about few extensions to SmartOutline, but the community can have more ideas ;)

- Adding "Remove All/Toggle All outlines in current file"

- Adding keyboard shortcuts for toggle [all] outline(s)

- Auto creating outline regions: for example for all functions in javascript file

PS:

If I want to implement the same functionality in my custom addin for VS, where should I look to implement folding (outlining)?
