How To Update? (Administrator Permissions Needed)

    Attachment: AdminNeeded.png

I use VS 2008 as a normal user in Windows 7 Home Premium x64.  How can I update?  The dialog box for typing in an admin password doesn't come up.

    Thanks.

    Hi Mark,

We will look into why this is not working on Win7. Vista brings up the "elevate permissions" dialog fine, so was Win7 in our recent testing.

As a workaround until we find the issue, please run your VS2008 as Administrator - they you will be able to run the update successfully.

    Thanks!

    Thank you,
