Hostname Could Not Be Parsed

Hi, I'm editing js files in a website project. The path I'm using to the project is \\hostname.domain.com@port\assets\script. When I open a file, create a region, save the file and exit VS it creates the .sodata file successfully but when I reopen that file none of the regions are there. Then when I close the file the .sodata file is deleted.

Here is what's showing up in the log:

5/18/2010 1:18:31 PM: Error during executing 'LoadRegions' in type 'PersistanceHelper': Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.
5/18/2010 1:23:14 PM: Error during executing 'SaveRegions' in type 'PersistanceHelper': Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.
5/18/2010 1:28:24 PM: Error during executing 'LoadRegions' in type 'PersistanceHelper': Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.
5/18/2010 1:28:45 PM: Error during executing 'SaveRegions' in type 'PersistanceHelper': Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.

I've been able to use SmartOutline successfully for the same website using \\hostname\assets\script. Any chance this can be resolved?

Smart Outline Prevents Debugging from working correctly

When having placed a smart outline region over a code block, then in debugging the smart Menus which are showing the values of variables are not shown anymore.

Instead there's this tooltip showing up, telling me which region i'm in.
Is there a way to disable this?

SmartOutline and aspx Files

Your product works great with JS files, but I'm encountering problems with ASPX files. The region information gets lost while editing the ASPX file. SmartOutline writes the region information to the sodata file, but when opening the file again some region are lost? I'm using Visual Studio 2008 on a VISTA machine. Thanks,

Hello,
This is very Useful Product.

But I have a Problem with it:
It's information about the region is NOT SAVED.
It`s disapeared when I closed and re-open the file.

I`v tested in VS2008 on .js files.
Pls help Thanks

Are there no plans to go open-source with this product or to release the source code to the community?

Really like this as it's going to save a lot of time manually twiddling with outlines.

I would like to see a feature that can be toggled, whereby the name of the region is the first line of the region selected. Also, when I right-click there is one option, Create New Region. Why bother, since there's only the one choice? It just means an extra click. And last, I'd like an option to make the collapse region checkbox be checked by default. When I create regions it's because I want them to collapse now.

A little help with VS outlining extensibility?

After your recent updates, your add-in is working great! I am actually creating an add-in for my personal use that does a specific task I need, however I am trying to also create custom outlining regions in the VS editor based on my specific needs. I am looking but I can't find the methods / interfaces necessary to do this. Can you just point me in the right direction as to which interfaces in the SDK take care of this functionality? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Drawing issue

I'm having a very serious drawing issue happening with a fairly large javascript file (~ 600 lines) using SmartOutline. The add-in will work fine for a good amount of time, but then out of nowhere some of the indicators in the margin will go from their normal burgundy color to one that is white with a black border. In addition, the *entire* visual studio window will become corrupt if I try to scroll, with drawing elements going on all over the place. Even if I close and reopen the file, the entire environment is still corrupt and its not possible to work with it. I actually have to quit VS and reenter.

Has anyone else encountered this drawing issue? Because of this, I can't work with SmartOutline. Is it possible to maybe look at the source to see what is causing this?

Unless you want VS.NET 2005 to crash 20 times a day.

Memory leaks ABOUND, I see the same instability Drawing issue as Misha Zhutov. Exact Same.

Trying to put regions into a 1300 line CSS file SOUNDED GREAT but this product wasted a couple hours of my time and now I'm pissed.,

Seriously save yourself the time and don't use this beta product, you get what you pay for.

GREAT IDEA. Bad implementation.

Is there any sort of Options window for SmartOutline? I would like to get rid of the burgundy markers that it places on the left margin. Also, I would like the SOData file to be updated when I save the file, not when I close the project. Any way to do this?

I use VB2005 Express. Is it possible to use the tool with VB2005 Express?

Installation Failure

The installation wizard is working fine. But the start of VS2005 8.0.50727.42 brings me this error dialog:

"

Where does Smart Outline save it's information about the Region?

Very cool Product!
What i don't know is where does the tool store it's information about where which region is?
It's not on Source File like Regular Regions?

I'm worrying that other People that work together with me via SourceControl won't see my regions that i added this way. Can you help me with information?
