    CodeIt.Right SDK ?

    Hello,

I'm very interesting about the feature that CodeIt.Right given to the developer. Although the Rule is very easy to configure via Profile Editor, I saw the The Code It Right Project when I open the new Project Dialog.

In case I would like to write Custom Rule, is there any example or SDK ? My company is evaluating FxCop and CodeIt.Right and the Custom Rule is the highest weight when choose the best tool to apply to our company. In FxCop, I have write some custom rule with the configuration Xml file go with the dll file.

I also want to ask a question about using CodeItRight:

    - Is there any feature that it's allow to enforce the developer have to have some code region in source file, the enforcement of header of each source file ?

    - Is there any feature that it's auto ignore the files that generated by Visual Studio, such as the Web Service proxy class ? I understand that we can exclude these file when analysis, but every time I want to analysis again, I have to manually exclude it again.

Thanks for your very impressive code analysis tool.

    Re: CodeIt.Right SDK ?

We are working on the SDK tutorials. Should have first one finished soon. I'm attaching draft of the SDK help file to this post. You can also look at any of the rules distributed with CodeIt.Right using Reflector - rules are not obfuscated.

As for the auto generated classes, in the upcoming (next week) build CodeIt.Right will handle GeneratedCodeAttribute and CompilerGeneratedAttribute properly and that should address the problem.

Meanwhile you can exclude the files and save the .crdata file in your solution. Next time you open the solution, excluded files will be ignored by CodeIt.Right.

    Thank you,
