I'm looking for a Visual Studio extension that will provide a 'standalone' Comment Editor that can be 'triggered' by Ghost Doc. If not currently available, are there any plans to incorporate such into GhostDoc in the near future?
If I understand correctly what you are looking for, we have a WYSIWYG comment editor coming in the v6 of GhostDoc (Pro and Enterprise) - please see a screenshot below. We also will have the option to launch the WYSIWYG editor on the Ctrl-Shift-D shortcut instead of (or in addition to) generating the comment template.
Thanks, exactly what I'm looking for. Was going to purchase a competitor program but will upgrade my V4 licence in anticipation.
$64 question - how far a way is V6?
At this point, we are looking at an INSIDERS preview in January, public Beta late January - early February, and a release hopefully soon after the Beta.
If you purchase a license with software assurance now, that will provide you with a free v6 license once it is out. The software assurance subscription also gives you a way into the INSIDERS preview and a chance to influence the final direction of the early features.
We are expecting preview of the GhostDoc with WYSIWYG editing to be available by the end of the month, first week of April the latest.
How, will I be able to get a copy when it's released?
