    CodeIt.Right And StyleCop Ruleset

I am new to this product and to this forum, so please excuse me if this has already been asked. I have to (and I cannot change this) switch to coding in VB.Net, and I would like to apply the same/very similar style rules to VB Code as applied to C# by StyleCop. I have downloaded the evaluation copy of CodeIt.Right as this seems to be pretty much the only tool that supports the application of Style Rules to VB.Net projects.

Is there already a profile available for CodeIt.Right (when I have purchased the product obviously) that implements StyleCop type rules for VB Projects ??

Apologies if this has been asked before, or if this is a completely stupid question to ask!!

    Re: CodeIt.Right And StyleCop Ruleset

    Hello Steve,

While we don't have a  StyleCop profile, CodeIt.Right does cover a bulk of the ruleset included with StyleCop.

We cover all of the naming and a number maintainability, readability and documentation policies. What we don't do are the spacing, layout and ordering of the set.

What CodeIt.Right has to offer are the policies that cover way beyond the basic StyleCop coverage, including but not limited, security, performance usage and design reviews, industry best practices - general, exception handling, Async, and such.

To cover the spacing and the formatting, we ship our product with the plug-in that integrates StyleCop into our workflow but that as you understand only covers the C# code.

You are welcome to give CodeIt.Right a try and email us if you have any questions. I'm also happy to set up a web demo and review how (and if) our product fits your specific needs. Let me know.

    Thank you,
    Serge Baranovsky
